HHGL Limited (Homebase) have sold the freehold interest in their unit at St Andrew’s Avenue, Colchester to Lidl UK GmbH for a price of £6 million unconditional on planning. The property comprises a standalone retail warehouse unit of 36,627 sq ft, although completion was on the basis of vacant possession. The intention is to achieve planning for food consent, and to knock down the existing unit in order to create a custom built foodstore to the latest standards.
